About
Biography
Asli Beyza Gul is a dedicated medical student and aspiring neurologist with a strong focus on Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders. Her journey began in high school, inspired by innovative treatments such as deep brain stimulation. Since then, she has authored award-winning research, presented at international neurology congresses, and founded her university’s first-ever Neurology Society.
She has trained under pioneering neurologists at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and contributes to research at the University of Cincinnati’s Movement Disorders Department. In addition, Asli writes lifestyle-focused articles for PMD Alliance and Parkinson’s Australia, aiming to bridge the gap between clinical care and daily life with Parkinson’s.
As the first Parkinson’s Foundation Ambassador in the UK and a Research Champion with Parkinson’s UK, Asli is deeply committed to advancing care, awareness, and community support for those living with Parkinson’s disease.
Education
Asli Beyza is currently a third-year medical student at Aston University, Birmingham, UK.
She relocated to the UK after excelling in her A Levels and GCSEs at GEMS Wellington Academy in Silicon Oasis, Dubai, UAE. In 2023, she achieved the highest national score in the UAE for one of the A Level subjects.
She has also completed certified courses on leadership from prestigious institutions, including Harvard University and the Disney Institute.
